In Dart you can save any particular set of tasks as a view so that you can come back to them later, even if that view includes tasks from different spaces and dartboards.
In Dart, views are different from layouts (list, board, calendar, roadmap). Think of a view as a way to see tasks across more than a single dartboard, whereas layouts are simply how a set of tasks are presented.
You can access views from the lefthand side of your screen:
The basic view that every Dart workspace comes equipped with is called My Tasks (also at the top of your left-hand column in Dart).
This will show you tasks assigned to you across any dartboard that you have access to.
Setting up your own view
If you would prefer to make your own custom view, simply choose โViewsโ from the navigation area on the left of your screen. This will show your list of custom views:
To add a new view, simply click on the โ+โ button.
Name your view whatever you like and customize with filters and sorts to suit your purposes. Note that importantly, you can filter by dartboard.
Once you've created a view, you can do a variety of other actions, including exporting, replicating, and favoriting.
You can even manage sharing here, as mentioned below.
Filtering and sorting in views
You can also filter and sort when you are in "My tasks" or any of your custom views. Just like in a dartboard, you can find your filter and sort options at the top left of your view. Note that, in My tasks, the assignee property will always show as "Current user":
Turning a search into a new view
You can also customize search parameters and save those as a view. Simply click on the search bar at the top of your screen and enter any words or parameters you want to search across Dart with. You'll then see a "Save view" button at the top right of your screen:
Sharing and public views
With a view open, near the top right corner of your screen you can click the "Share" button to share a view. From there, you can choose to share with specific teammates or your entire workspace. Workspaces on the Business or Enterprise plans can also share a view via a public link. This is useful if you want to share a view with customers, stakeholders, or other parties outside your organization.
All tasks in a shared view must live in a space that is shared with the entire workspace. This helps prevent accidentally sharing private tasks more broadly.
