How to access AI chat
AI chat is available from any page in Dart.
Click the "AI chat" button in the top-right corner of your screen to open the chat panel.
What can AI chat do?
Here are some examples of commands you can try:
Assign tasks
Assign all marketing tasks in this dartboard to Alex
Prioritize
Prioritize these tasks based on urgency
Update deadlines
Change the due date to Friday for the top 3 tasks
Filter tasks
Show me all tasks due next week marked high priority
Create new tasks
Create a task: Finalize Q2 budget report, due Monday
AI chat works across dartboards and understands your workspace structure.
Context in AI chat
Context is what gives the AI chat a focus for your commands. Instead of always needing to spell everything out, you can set a context so the AI knows which dartboard, task, or skill you’re referring to.
For example, if you set the context to a specific dartboard, you can just say “prioritize these tasks” and the AI will understand you mean the tasks in that dartboard. Context can come from dartboards, individual tasks, or AI skills, and you can add it using the context button, typing “@” in the chat box, or selecting tasks directly.

You can also quickly switch contexts by typing “@” in the chat box to open a dropdown where you can choose a context, view AI skills, or select tasks
AI skills
You can use AI skills in AI chat to initiate specific actions. Dart comes with several skills by default, and you can also create your own. To learn more about skills see the AI skills article.
