Dart AI is the core intelligence that powers your workspace. It works across various features such as AI chat, AI skills, and slash commands, making it a central part of how you and your team interact with AI inside Dart.
Dart AI is active in the following features:
Dart AI preferences
You can input your guidelines and personal preferences in settings > Dart AI.
Your preferences shape how Dart AI behaves across your workspace in the features mentioned above. Wherever Dart AI shows up, your guidelines will dictate the experience.
A simple example of this would be:
"Respond in a strictly formal tone using language inspired by Old English. Avoid casual expressions and make sure every reply sounds refined, respectful, and reminiscent of historical English speech."
This will make Dart AI answer every command or prompt that you do in a style that is strictly formal while using old English:
Using Dart AI in tasks
Use Dart AI during task creation
When creating a new task, Dart AI can assist with writing titles, breaking tasks down, and filling in details. There are two different ways to enable AI actions on tasks.
Click the Task AI button
Use slash commands
When using the Task AI button, you can choose what you’d like Dart AI to help with:
Break into subtasks – Generate logical subtasks based on the task title
Fill out properties – Add relevant properties such as tags, status, due dates, or assignees
Write a description – Draft a description tailored to the task title. This becomes "Improve description" if there is already something written in the description.
Do task this task when created - Assign the task to Dart AI to have it execute the task
Once Dart AI provides suggestions, you can delete, edit, adjust, or apply them as needed.
Improving existing tasks with Dart AI
You don’t need to stop at task creation. Dart AI can also enhance existing tasks.
Open any task and look for the Task AI button at the top right. From there, you’ll find several options:
Fill out properties – Update or complete missing task properties
Break into subtasks – Split the main task into meaningful subtasks
Improve description – Expand or refine the task description
Do task – For certain types of tasks (e.g., creating an image or drafting a document), Dart AI can complete the task directly
