Toggl integration

Track time of Dart tasks using Toggl Track

Updated this week

This guide covers how to track time within Dart using Toggl Track. You can always track time in Dart directly without this integration using our native time tracking feature instead.

To use Toggl seamlessly with Dart, you can utilize the Context Menu feature of the Toggl Track browser extension along with the browser version of Dart. This method allows you to turn any task name or description in Dart directly into a time entry.

Prerequisites

Using Toggl Track with Dart

  • Click the Toggl Track icon in your browser’s toolbar and ensure you are logged in to your workspace

  • Open Dart Navigate to your Dart workspace (e.g., app.dartai.com) and open the view containing the task you want to work on

  • Select Your Task Use your mouse to highlight the text of the task you are about to start (e.g., "Design new onboarding flow")

  • Right-Click With the text highlighted, right-click (or Control-click on Mac) to open your browser’s context menu

  • Start the Timer Select the option that says Start timer with description "..."

The extension will automatically use the text you highlighted as the description for your time entry.
