Dart is built for speed, and keyboard shortcuts help you move through work faster by keeping your hands on the keyboard.

Before you start

Make sure your cursor isn’t inside a text field, like a task title or description. If it is, press Esc to exit the field before using shortcuts.

Popular shortcuts

  • C, create a new task

  • L, add a subtask

  • Tab, indent as a subtask

  • J or K, move up or down a task list

  • S, change the status of a task

  • 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, set task status directly

  • G then S, go to settings

  • Esc, exit fields or close tasks

  • ⌘ + Z or Ctrl + Z, undo

  • ⌘ + Shift + Z or Ctrl + Shift + Z, redo

  • Press ? on your keyboard at any time

  • Or go to Help and resources, then click Shortcuts, just below Command center

Tooltips

Hover over buttons in Dart to see tooltips. If a shortcut is available, it will appear beside the button so you can learn it for next time.

Shortcuts are one of the fastest ways to get things done in Dart, and once you’re familiar with them, they’ll become second nature.
